Our livery and training stable
On our area below the bistro is the equestrian center with a south-westerly view down to the town of Carovilli with Monte Ferrante and the Mainarde mountain range.
The area offers great opportunities for horse riding. Whether 1, 2, 3 or 6 hours with a picnic. We accompany you as a beginner or advanced, with a school horse or your own horse. You can take riding lessons in western style or have your horse trained with us. We are happy to advise you on your wishes and the level of training of your horse and create an individual training and husbandry plan. For us, the origin and the breed, the age and the level of training of your horse do not matter. We always have an open ear for your concerns and look forward to every cowboy or those who want to become one. Our experienced riding stable master is there for you and your horse 6 days a week. He takes care of all matters and works together with the local veterinarian on successful natural and artificial breeding for several years. Together with the Altavia Team he organize Team Penning competitions or cozy barbecues at the stable.
Our stable currently offers space for 20 horses in 3×3.5m boxes. 5 of them offer a western window to the riding arena. The horses can contact each other at will, secured by traditional box walls with sight sticks. Seasonally we also provide 5 large outdoor paddoks of approx. 6m x 6m, one of them is covered, which, for example, benefit horses with respiratory problems.
The riding arena of 60x30m, which is well-cared for in summer and winter, offers enough space for almost all kinds of horse training. Thanks to 4 powerful stadium lights, it can also be used after sunset. Comfortable seats are available all year round and allow an excellent view of the arena due to the elevated orientation. Our bright, covered round pen with a privacy-proof wall height of 3 meters is 15 in diameter and is an alternative in the rain and is also used for longe work, free work or other types of horse training.
There are a few paddocks available for the horses. Most of them with wooden or electric fencing. Your horse can stand alone or in a group. Of course, our stables also have an outdoor and indoor washing area, a saddle room and our feeding room with medicine cabinet and the typical clubhouse with coffee and snack vending machine, a cozy couch with a small oven and a chalk board when it gets theoretical. Anyone who would like to have a little more service is warmly welcome in the bistro. We look forward to you and your experiences with the horses!
